This is one of the early quizzes when the owner of the pub used to put up a cash prize of £50 for a jackpot with the competitors paying a pound a time which was added to the total until it reached £200 when I used to write a ten question quiz mixture easy and difficult aiming at a tie so that two teams got a share of the money. It worked very well for several years until the owner who owned a plastics factory was hit by the recession and had to sell the pub to keep his factory going.

All answers began with the letter P and in the case of a two word answer both words would begin with P
